It’s getting near that time of the year again when people start thinking about getting the whitest, brightest and most beautiful smile in time for the holidays. With office Christmas parties, family get-togethers and hanging out with friends and family just a few weeks away, you’ll want to look and feel your best! But with the holiday season just around the corner, what treatments do you still have time to get? Here are three dental treatments to make your smile beautiful you can still get in time for the holidays!
Teeth Whitening
Want that radiant, white smile that just lights up a room? Want your smile to be the one that stands out in all those pics and selfies that just know are going to be making the rounds after your office holiday party?
It’s not too late to get your teeth whitened before the holidays. We offer two types of teeth whitening that will give you a noticeably whiter smile.
The first is our in-office Zoom Whitening treatment. We perform this treatment at either of our offices, and it takes less than an hour. You’ll leave your appointment with noticeably whiter teeth and you’ll be ready to rock the holidays!
Our second treatment takes a bit longer and the results aren’t as dramatic, but it’s also a lower cost option. We offer a take-home teeth whitening kit. With stronger whitening ingredients than you’ll find in teeth whitening products at pharmacies, and teeth trays to ensure the whitening gel is applied evenly, you’ll notice whiter teeth within a couple of weeks of use.
Veneers & Crowns
Teeth whitening is good if your teeth are just a little dull or stained, but if your teeth are chipped or cracked then you might need something more along the lines of a veneer or a crown.
Veneers are extremely thin pieces of porcelain or a resin compound molded to the size and shape of a cracked, chipped or broken tooth. The surface of your tooth is lightly ground and cleaned, and then the veneer is glued on. The end result is a whole and healthy looking tooth!
Crowns are often used when there is more significant damage to a tooth, or sometimes if a significant cavity threatens the overall health of the tooth. Your family dentist will take a mold imprint of your tooth and then mold a new one out of porcelain. They will grind your real tooth down some, and then place the porcelain crown over it.
If you want cracked, chipped or broken teeth to be a thing of the past this holiday season, talk to your dentist about veneers or crowns.
Implants
Does a missing tooth make you feel self-conscious when it comes to flashing your pearly whites at holiday events or for holiday photos? If you’re missing an entire tooth, an implant is what you need.
A dental implant is an artificial tooth. There are several different ways that an implant can be secured in your mouth, but most commonly your dentist will insert a post in your jaw bone and mount the implant to that, or they might secure the implant to the surrounding teeth.
Implants can be arranged quite quickly, so if there’s a gap in your smile that you just don’t want to deal with this holiday season, talk to your family dentist!
Orion Dental provides a full range of dental services for your entire family. With different types of cosmetic dentistry services like teeth whitening, veneers and crowns, and implants, we’d love to help you look your best in time for the holiday season!
