How To Floss Your Teeth Well
- Pull out about one-and-a-half feet (18 inches) of floss.
- Grab a small length of floss between your thumb and fingers, and bring it up to insert it between the 2 teeth you want to start with.
- Pull and slide the floss in the space between your teeth in a way that angles around the shape of your tooth.
- Gently move the floss using a slow back-and-forth motion and an up and down motion. Take the floss right up to your gum line.
- Do not apply too much pressure. You don’t want your gums to bleed.
- Use a new section of floss as you move from tooth to tooth!
Given all the views on the subject of flossing recently in the news, we decided to provide our own view of how to floss. We believe that flossing or anything else that is good for your oral hygiene is just that, it’s good for your oral hygiene!
