Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: October 2026

Our Commitment

Orion Dental is committed to serving every patient with dignity and independence, in line with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code. That includes this website, our forms and how we communicate with you.

Website Accessibility

We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we also check against the newer WCAG 2.2 items for focus visibility and target size. The work so far includes:

  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and a logical heading structure on every page
  • Colour contrast that meets Level AA, and links in running text that are underlined, not shown by colour alone
  • Full keyboard access, with a visible focus outline and a “skip to main content” link
  • A booking window that keeps keyboard focus inside it, closes with the Escape key and returns you to where you were
  • Pages that work at 400% zoom and with increased text spacing, in portrait or landscape
  • Background videos without sound that can be paused, and that stay still if your device is set to reduce motion

We test every page with automated accessibility checks, and we test the main page types by keyboard and at high zoom. Automated tools cannot find every barrier, so we also rely on your feedback.

Known Limitations

  • The maps on our location pages are provided by Google and may not work fully with every screen reader. Each office's address, phone number and hours are also given as text on the same page.

New Patient Form

Our new patient form is a fillable PDF with labelled fields that work with screen readers and keyboards. Fill it in on your own device or on paper, sign it by hand and bring it to your visit. Please do not email it to us. If you would like the form in another format, such as large print, or would like a team member to help you complete it at the office, please call us.

Visiting Our Offices

Both offices are on the ground floor, so there are no stairs or elevators inside.

  • Scarborough: step-free entrance, accessible washroom and parking.
  • Milton: accessible washroom. The office is in a plaza; if you need step-free access from the parking lot, please call ahead and we will confirm the best route.

If you have accessibility needs for your visit, please tell us when you book so we can plan ahead. For example, let us know if you need step-free access, extra time, help with forms, or a different way to communicate with us. You are welcome to bring a support person, and service animals are welcome.

Information in Other Formats

If you need any information on this website in another format, please contact us and we will work with you to provide it in a format that meets your needs.

Feedback

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website, forms and offices. If you meet a barrier or have a suggestion, please contact us:

We will acknowledge your feedback and let you know how we plan to address it.
