What we do

What dental services does the Milton office offer?

The Milton office provides general, preventive, restorative, cosmetic and emergency dental care for patients of all ages. That includes checkups and cleanings, children's dentistry, fillings, crowns and bridges, root canal treatment, dentures, dental implants, teeth whitening and Invisalign clear aligners. Both Orion Dental offices offer the same services, and we can refer you to a specialist when a treatment calls for one. Which treatment suits you depends on a clinical assessment, so care usually starts with an exam.

Your first visit

What happens at your first visit?

Your first appointment at Orion Dental Milton takes about 60 minutes. We start by listening: what brings you in, any worries about dental visits, and your health history. The dentist then examines your teeth and gums, takes digital X-rays if they're needed, and uses an intraoral camera so you can see what we see. A hygienist does a gentle cleaning, and before you leave we go over a treatment plan with estimated costs. Bring your registration form (or fill it in when you arrive), a valid ID, and your insurance or CDCP details.

02

Conversation first

We sit down, listen to your concerns, and understand your dental history before touching a single tool.

03

Exam & x-rays

A comprehensive look at your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw — with digital x-rays for accuracy and speed.

04

Cleaning & plan

A professional cleaning, followed by a clear, no-pressure treatment plan with costs up front.

Who leads the Milton office?

Dr. Fahimay Naqvi, a general dentist, is the principal dentist. She has been practising dentistry for over 30 years, and she launched and established the Milton office in 2010 with the same philosophy that built her Scarborough practice — listen first, explain everything, and never rush.

Some patients bring their parents; others now bring their own children. We see patients of all ages.

Do you accept CDCP and direct-bill insurance?

Yes. The Milton office is a registered Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) provider. Bring your CDCP member card and a valid ID to your visit. Some CDCP services need pre-authorization from Sun Life before treatment. We also direct-bill most insurance plans, so in many cases you pay only the portion your plan doesn't cover. We go over estimated costs with you before treatment starts.

Common questions.

Can't find your answer? Call us at 905-636-9770.

Do I need a referral to become a patient?

No referral needed. New patients are welcome — call (905) 636-9770 to book.

Is parking free?

Yes! We have a free, on-site parking lot directly in front of our office at Maple Crossing plaza. No meters, no time limits.

Do you accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

Yes, we are a registered CDCP provider. Bring your CDCP member card and a valid ID to your appointment. Depending on your family income, CDCP may cover all or part of the cost of covered services, and some services need pre-authorization from Sun Life first.

Are you open on Saturdays?

We are open on alternate Saturdays from 8 AM to 1 PM. Please call to check which Saturdays we are open.

What do I do in a dental emergency?

Call us immediately at (905) 636-9770. We offer same-day emergency appointments whenever possible.

What if I have a dental emergency after hours?

Both Orion Dental offices are closed outside office hours, and we do not have an on-call dentist. If you have severe bleeding, facial trauma, or swelling that affects your breathing or swallowing, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room. For other urgent dental problems after hours, one option is in Toronto, on Yonge Street: Dental Emergency Services, 1650 Yonge Street, Suite 100, Toronto (at Yonge and St. Clair), 416-485-7121 (dentalemergencyservices.ca). It is an independent clinic. Orion Dental is not affiliated with it in any way and cannot confirm its hours, fees or procedures, so please call them before you go. Otherwise, call us as soon as the office opens and we will try to see you the same day.

At what age should I bring my child in?

Age 1, or when the first tooth appears — whichever comes first. The first visit is low-pressure: we let your child explore, sit in the chair, and see that the dentist is a safe, friendly place.
