What dental services does the Scarborough office offer?
The Scarborough office provides general, preventive, restorative, cosmetic and emergency dental care for patients of all ages. That includes checkups and cleanings, children's dentistry, fillings, crowns and bridges, root canal treatment, dentures, dental implants, teeth whitening and Invisalign clear aligners. Both Orion Dental offices offer the same services, and we can refer you to a specialist when a treatment calls for one. Which treatment suits you depends on a clinical assessment, so care usually starts with an exam.
What happens at your first visit?
Your first appointment at Orion Dental Scarborough takes about 60 minutes. We start by listening: what brings you in, any worries about dental visits, and your health history. The dentist then examines your teeth and gums, takes digital X-rays if they're needed, and uses an intraoral camera so you can see what we see. A hygienist does a gentle cleaning, and before you leave we go over a treatment plan with estimated costs. Bring your registration form (or fill it in when you arrive), a valid ID, and your insurance or CDCP details.
Quick paperwork
Download our new patient form, fill it in and bring it with you, or fill it in when you arrive.
Conversation first
Dr. Naqvi or an associate sits with you chair-side and listens. Goals, fears, history — no rush.
Exam & x-rays
A thorough check, digital x-rays, and an intraoral camera tour so you see exactly what we see.
Cleaning & plan
A gentle cleaning by our hygienist, followed by a clear treatment plan with costs — no surprises.

Who leads the Scarborough office?
Dr. Fahimay Naqvi, a general dentist, is the principal dentist. She has spent more than 30 years in clinical practice, the last two decades in the GTA. When she took over the Scarborough practice in 2007, the goal was simple: build a place patients want to come back to. That means real conversations, honest treatment plans, and a team that sticks around because they like it here too.
Do you accept CDCP and direct-bill insurance?
Yes. The Scarborough office is a registered Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) provider. Bring your CDCP member letter and a valid ID to your visit. Some CDCP services need pre-authorization from Sun Life before treatment. We also direct-bill most insurance plans, so in many cases you pay only the portion your plan doesn't cover. What's covered depends on your plan, and we can help you check.

Often, yes. For a toothache, a knocked-out or broken tooth, a broken crown, or an abscess, call us right away at (416) 291-0306. We triage every call and fit emergency patients in the same day whenever possible. For severe bleeding, facial trauma, or swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
